Aforementioned is best possible description and value Shail carried over the years. Shail has 15 years of hospitality experience in three different continents. Started his humble journey from India and then moved to United Kingdom to learn about the basic attributes of fine dining, silver service and bar culture. Travelled France to enrich viticulture and wine knowledge and its food pair implementation during the career growth path, spent considerable time working in the Maldives with Sheraton hotel group and subsequently worked with Intercontinental group of hotels as a restaurant and bar manager back in India again.

Having spent considerable time with Hilton Adelaide and Stamford group before decided to open our very own “German Spoon”. We are blessed to have our restaurant based in Hahndorf Adelaide hills which produces world class quality wines, famed for its viniculture and its prominent German heritage of Hahndorf.

Dev has lived up to the above with its aura of genuineness and gastronomic values. He has enriched his culinary journey by associating himself to various quality restaurant and hotel operations. Exposed in various cuisines and getting his hands dirty over the years by managing multi cuisine operations as a Head Chef. His keenness of utilising local food produce with Adelaide Hills wines has timely received recognition from his guests, colleagues and different management in past. His Culinary journey of ten glorious years makes him a competitive and skill based personality as a qualified Chef.

He has spent three and half years as an executive sous chef in one of the Adelaide Hills Iconic Restaurant Based in Hahndorf which empowered him a greater understanding of local food produce and its soulful taste in his sumptuous dishes.

His philosophy is – “GET Local produce and Eat Local”
